Moms Working Overtime
Moms Working Overtime is the community of women you've been searching to find for SO long. In this season of motherhood, each and every one of us clocks "overtime" hours, showing up the best we can for our family. These seemingly small things are what actually make the biggest impact on our children...and even though they may leave us completely exhausted, they pay time and a half - meaning the return on our investment is far greater than we could ever imagine! We bring together moms in waiting, stay-at-home moms, working moms, brand new moms, and the moms who have just a little bit more experience than the rest of us! Join in for laughs, support, encouragement, and validation of all things motherhood.

Pep Talk: Be the Change
Each morning, my son goes off to school and I tell him:
"Listen to your teachers. Be nice to your friends. Be a kind boy."
I think a lot of us say these types of motherly things. We want our children to grow up to be good humans. We want to do a good job with them.
There's a saying I love - "Be the change you want to see in the world, but I think it can give a bystander effect..."someone else will change the world, so I don't have to." It's not actually me that's supposed to change the world.
We're always looking to someone else. We want someone else to be the change. Someone else to show us how to be a good mom. Someone else to tell us exactly how breastfeeding should work, how or what we should feel our child, how to discipline, how to raise our children to be empathetic.
We want validation and action to come from all of these external sources when the reality is, it's inside of each of us.
Today's episode is about deciding to be the change in your own home. It's about deciding to show up each day and model for our children how to be kind, respectful, healthy, empathetic, responsible...the list goes on and on. We can raise good humans by letting our children witness what it means to be good humans.
And that, my friend, will change the world.
